The Board of Trustees is composed of five members elected at large to a term of four years.  Two trustees are elected every two alternating years.  The Board will elect a new Chairperson every two years.

The Board of Trustees generally meets every third Wednesday of each month at the Chambers Community Center and otherwise as necessary.

The Board of Trustees is the legislative division of the municipal government and the Trustees are expected to maintain peace, regulate business, protect the public health and safety, and assess such taxed and fees as necessary and appropriate in the exercise of these functions.

The Board of Trustees establishes Village policy, enacts ordinances, authorizes budgetary appropriations. Every Trustee takes an oath to support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the state, and faithfully and impartially discharge the duties of its office.
